Dragons' Den First Semester Week 10: Homecoming

The spirit days were pj, crazy hair, mix match, decade day, and dragon pride. For example on pj day I woked up and went to the caff and ate and then went to schoo in my pjs it was fun.The pep assembly was fun. For example, I was happy I won the homecoming court. The football game was fun. For example, I had four tacles and had a good time.The dance was fun. For example, I ate a lot of candie and talked. This week made me feel relax because there wasn't nothing important and was easy week.

I plan to construct a Dia de los Muertos altar about Bernie Mac. Bernie Macs full name was Bernard Jeffrey McCullough, was born October 5, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.,died August 9, 2008(2008-08-09)(aged 50) Chicago, Illinois, U.S. Bernie Mac was well liked by thousands of people and made a lot of people laugh. Academic Language Week 8 - Ten Commandments

I think the Ten Commandments don't belong in school. Its not a teachers role to teach religion in school. Teachers shouldn't try to CONSUME students learning about different religion. Religion and school are two different categories, religion is learn outside of school in church and school is  about learning things.  If people wanted to learn about religion in school they would go to a Christian school, thats why they have public schools.

Autobiographical Narrative - Innocent to Compassionate Brainstorm

When I was 9, I was innocent because I thought that everybody was the same. Then, I experienced that not everybody grows up with the same things. This helped me to become compassionate because I wanted to help him.

When I was 8, I was innocent because I thought my dog would live with me forever. Then, I experienced my dog dieing. This helped me to become compassionate because I now knew that pets don't live as long as human

 When I was 7, I was innocent because I thought everyone had food. Then, I experienced by being picky with my food and I would throw it away. This helped me to become compassionate because I learn not everyone in the world had food to eat and people were dying .

When I was nine, I was innocent because I though that stealing was fine. Then, I experienced getting school suspension. This helped me to become compassionate because I realize that stealing was bad because I lost alot of peoples trust .
When I was 12, I was innocent because I thought being disrespectful to the teacher would make me look cool Then, I experienced getting expell. This helped me to become compassionate because I learn that by being direspectful wasn't getting me no where.
When I was 10, I was innocent because I thought fighting was okay because. Then, I experienced that fighting was getting me introuble. This helped me to become compassionate because I learn there wasn't a point of fight.

Dia de los Muertos - Article Summary

 The article “dia de los muertos” by author is about a Mexican celebration. This occurred on Nov one and two. Dia de los Muertos is celebrated throughout Mexico.  Many other countries around  the world celebrate similar versions of Day of the Dead as well, by  having special days for honoring the dead.
the people involve are People that celebrate Dia de los Muertos to honor their deceased loves ones and who have died. the events included setting up there alter and decorating there grave. Also putting things that the person liked like food, flowers, or toys. This happen because they say that if you don't celebrate you can be hunted. As a result of this people around the world are celebrating this holiday more and is getting popular.

Internet Safety Project - Public or Private Profile

I think teenagers should put there profiles to private. They should have them private because there is people out there that are very dangerous and can harm people. By not having your profile private other people you don't know might be going threw your pictures and your messages. Also when your texting people you don't know that has a profile with a hot girl, you might think that they are a girl but can actually be a old perv. Just have your profile in private don't take the risk of being in danger for your best.

Dragons Den 7: Would You Rather?

I would rather be smart because I can do more things in life and have a better job. People would recognize me for my intelligence. I would want to be smart so I can have a big house, lots of cars, and money. Smarter is better than pretty because if your smart and have money you can just get plastic surgery and then you'll be smart and pretty. And sometime people prefer smart people then pretty.

Academic Language Week 7 - Vampires

I think vampire’s popularity will fade away. They will fade away because they are getting old and there are new horror movies and creatures coming out later on in the future. Also, there are too many movies already about vampires and all of them have the same PLOT in them. Sooner or later they won’t have key factors that other popular books or movies have. Vampire’s voices will be eliminated when other popular subjects come about. Vampires are just getting old because in every movie it’s about the same thing people getting bit, girl falls in love with a vampire, or vampires vs. wolfs. I think its time for us to let Vampire’s retire.

"Marigolds" Summary Poem

One day Lizbeth started thinking about her past and in her past she remember the hot summer and Marigold. When she was 14 her and Joey were the only ones living in the house and her brother was three years younger. A bunch of kids and her went to Miss. Lotties house and ounside was John Burk her son and they wen there because they were bored and then when they got there they started throwing pebbles and chanting. Lizbeth felt ashame of her behavior after doing that and she regret doing that. Later that night she heard her father and her mother argueing about money and her fathers face began crying. 4 A.M Lizbeth and her brother snuck out the house and went back to Miss. Lotties and started destroying everything and her garden with rage. Joey told her to stop and she did. When Lizbeth open her eyes she saw Miss. Lottie, she was ashame and began sobbing. After doing that she wasn't a child no more she was being more mature.

Dragons Den: Campus Donations

I am very thankful for the people that donate everything to us because if they didn't we wouldn't have the things we have. Last Christmas I got white Jordan's and I liked them and I thank them for the shoes. Also I got a radio system and i thank them too because I never had one and I was asking for one. And finally all of us got an ipod which was very nice of them because they were the new ones. I hopr everybody thanks the people that got all of this stuff to us.
