JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 22

Felons should not be allowed to vote. For example, Felons do not have enough resources about what's going on in society. This shows that they are not up to date on current events. This also shows that if they get to vote they pretty much would be guessing because it is a COMPLEX decision for them because they were locked up. In addition, felons shouldn't be allowed to vote because they committed a felony and shouldn't be trusted. This shows that they can't be trusted with a vote because people like sex predators don't follow their rules and break them sometimes. This also shows that because of all the time they were locked up their vote wouldn't be as RELEVANT as other people. In conclusion, felons should not be allowed to vote because they committed a felony and should not be trusted.

  1. From what I understand, felons are able to access news when they are incarceration. I imagine they may read and watch more news than people who are not incarcerated because they do not have many other options. Remember that relevant means directly relating to the subject or problem being discussed or considered.
